The Friends of Jawbone is a nonprofit group in the Jawbone Canyon area who provide a forum for users of public lands in and around Jawbone Canyon to promote the preservation, multiple use, and restoration of all public lands, local, state, and federal. They support and develop projects to improve, protect and maintain existing trails and to promote understanding, education, and cooperation between all users of public lands.
The Friends of El Mirage are users of the El Mirage OHV Open Area that promote the preservation, multiple use and restoration of this unique area. FOEM is a varied group of outdoor recreationists who are extremely active in promoting the positive aspects of vehicular access to this multi-use land, and protecting that right. The ultimate goal of FOEM is to support and develop projects to improve, protect and maintain existing trails and dry lake bed.
CTUC’s Mission is to provide a forum for all trail users to discuss related issues, problems and alternative solutions; to assist in the planning, development, maintenance and hosting of trails; and to help enforce the rules of the road; and to develop and maintain programs designed to educate users on proper use of trails and trail etiquette. CTUC encourages members to get involved with their local riding areas and government agencies to keep access open to all.
OwlsheadGPS.com provides official agency GPS information to OHV and other recreation enthusiasts. The OwlsheadGPS Project created an innovative process for bringing official, government agency OHV route GIS data to ordinary consumer GPS devices and computers. Visitors can view designated routes using a browser-based MapViewer, obtain maps for Garmin GPS units, or download route files for computer.
